Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our Medical Imaging Department at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing medical imaging procedures, operating and troubleshooting equipment, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using Computed Tomography (CT) scanners, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Operate and troubleshoot medical imaging equipment, including CT scanners, X-ray machines, and other ancillary devices.
  • Prepare written and electronic reports documenting all procedures and test results, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety, and quality improvement programs/activities, contributing to the development of best practices in medical imaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.

Requirements

  1. Certificate of registration in the specialty of Radiography from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  2. Current Registration with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  3. Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification.
  4. Proven experience working with CT scanners and other medical imaging equipment, with a strong understanding of radiation safety protocols.
  5. Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level 2 and 3 CT certification.
  • Membership with the CAMRT.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
