As a Senior Annotation Operations Lead at Cohere, you'll be part of a small yet effective team responsible for collecting and developing high-quality training data critical to our flagship models' success.

Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with engineering stakeholders to translate their needs into actionable human data projects. You'll oversee quality assurance and reviews of internal and externally produced data, ensuring alignment with project goals and guidelines.

This role requires strong partnership skills to develop and manage human data projects, including writing instructions, training annotators, piloting projects, and defining success criteria. Additionally, you'll be responsible for managing the performance of our annotator teams, testing and iterating on internal annotation processes and tooling, and running onboarding and training programs for new annotators.

You'll also work closely with internal stakeholders to decide on workforce planning and hiring strategy to meet roadmap requirements, as well as collaborate with external vendors to enrich our data pipeline as needed.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have experience working with cross-functional teams and a track record of improving operational efficiency. A background in human data operations or a related field is highly desirable.

Our offices are located in Toronto, New York, San Francisco, and London, with remote work options available. The ideal candidate should be willing to relocate to one of these locations or commit to regular travel between them.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $135,000 USD, based on the location and industry standards.
