Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at The Excel Group, Inc. as a key member of our installation team.

Job Summary:

The Flooring Specialist will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing flooring coverings in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered; prepare flooring plans and scheduling; measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
  • Inspection and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings; conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations.
  • Preparation: Prepare floors for installations; remove existing floor coverings and contaminants; read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintenance: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt; prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Work Setting: Commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, urban area, various locations.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding; handling heavy loads; bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus; efficient interpersonal skills; judgement; organized; team player.
