Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Staff Nurse to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice and clinical judgment.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan of care, incorporating individual and group teaching activities, and making referrals to other resources as needed.
- Provide direct nursing interventions for crisis and life-threatening situations, and document patient progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective team work.
- Participate in nursing orientation, share clinical knowledge, and contribute to the development of patient care policies and procedures.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Two years' recent experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and/or recent completion of a Neonatal Nursing Specialty certificate.
- Current neonatal resuscitation certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, and to adapt to changing situations.
