As an Assistant Server at Fairmont Royal York, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest service and supporting the Library Bar team. Your focus will be on preparing serving stations, assisting with meal service during peak times, and providing continued support for the next meal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare serving stations and work areas for each meal period.
  • Assist with the smooth execution of meal service during peak times.
  • Offer continued support in preparation for the next meal period.
  • Report for duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards.
  • Promote and maintain a positive working relationship with all colleagues.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of Library Bar policies, procedures, and set service standards.
  • Assist guests with inquiries or requests in a pleasant, helpful manner.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Attend pre-shift, weekly, and monthly meetings to improve the guest experience.
  • Understand how to operate all equipment used in the outlet.
  • Participate in health and safety procedures for the Library Bar and Hotel.
Requirements
  • Previous work experience in a restaurant/food and beverage setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
  • Smart Serve training program certification an asset.
  • Must be of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • OTE certificate an asset.
  • Flexibility with shifts dependent on business demands.
  • Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas.
