About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Futures Execution Specialist to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Capital Markets Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of futures transactions and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and validate give-up and give-in execution fee transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process payments and collections for futures execution fees in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate books and records related to futures executions, ensuring they are properly reflected in financial results.
  • Oversee and manage futures execution receivables and payables balances to ensure timely resolution.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a Capital Markets or Securities Trading environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle functions and processes, specifically in futures trading.
  • Knowledge of cost flow and capital markets business activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to analyze information.
  • Good working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions and processes, including familiarity with front, middle, and back office trading and operating platforms and sub-ledger systems.
