Farrow, a Canadian company with over 110 years of expertise in cross-border customs brokerage and integrated logistics services, is seeking an experienced Software Development Lead to join their team.

About the Role

This permanent full-time position is responsible for leading the ongoing design and support of Farrow's core business systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in integrating and optimizing these systems to meet business needs, ensuring high availability and resilient code.

The role involves managing data flow between systems, database management, and using Agile software development and product management models to evaluate business needs and deliver on customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in requirements analysis to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  2. Evaluate existing applications used by the business and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  3. Maintain coding documentation, project progress reports, and application maintenance logs to ensure transparency and accountability.
  4. Develop and implement scalable solutions using .NET C# programming languages.
  5. Test and deploy applications and systems to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  6. Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support to internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software development principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a .NET Developer with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ASP.Net Frameworks, OOP, and SQL skills to design and develop efficient, secure, and scalable applications.
  • Experience working with Desktop Applications, Windows services, and Web Applications with different architecture styles.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
