Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef Manager to lead our bakery department at Fresh Market Restaurant Inc.

This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality pastries and desserts.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they meet the company's standards.
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a related field, with a willingness to train.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and services.
