Mechanical Equipment Specialist

An ideal candidate for this role is someone who enjoys working independently and has a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Mechanical Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for repairing washers and dryers at various customer locations.
Key Responsibilities- Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, and other locations.
- Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts.
- Reassemble appliances, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts.
- Replace worn or defective parts and adjust motors.
- Clean and wash parts.
- Advise the Dispatch Department of equipment in the field that should be replaced with new equipment.
- Drive a Company vehicle to and from work locations.
- Collect coins from each machine with 100% accuracy.
- Accurately and legibly record machine counter readings.
- Complete the collection route by the end of each day.
- Perform collections at all locations during the designated 30, 60, or 90-day collection cycles.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck.
- Prior washer/dryer repair experience is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good driving record.
- Customer service skills.
- Must possess effective English communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to read and understand road maps, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
- Basic knowledge of AVS procedures.
The estimated salary for this role is $26.54 to $32.28 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below this range based on factors such as experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities.
