The Opportunity

This position offers a competitive salary, health and medical benefits, travel allowance, meals, and camp accommodations in Marathon, Ontario. As a Scoop Operator, you will be responsible for operating loading units underground, mucking development headings and stockpiles, and loading trucks with ore or waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mucking development headings and stockpiles (manual and remote)
  • Loading trucks with ore or waste
  • Keeping all working areas and travel ways free of debris and potential hazards
  • Assisting with other mine services as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalency
  • Demonstrated commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
  • Underground Common Core and specialty modules
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working underground
  • Previous experience mucking with Atlas Copco, Sandvic, and/or Cat loading units is an asset
