About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at JB Flortec Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building's maintenance and repair needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the building's systems and equipment are functioning properly, including:
    • Operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste
    • Emptying trash cans and waste containers
    • Washing windows, interior walls, and ceilings
    • Making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
    • Contacting contractors for repairs and maintenance
    • Performing minor repairs on appliances
    • Performing safety and security checks
    • Performing other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair
    • Watering and tending to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, performing tasks that require physical demands, including:
    • Bending, crouching, kneeling
    • Handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Communication and Teamwork: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Experience and Qualifications: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, with a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
