About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Optical Technician to join our team at BMV Optical Technologies Inc. As an Optical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of optical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments to ensure accurate results.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment, and organize and maintain inventory to optimize workflow.
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs to optical instruments and lenses.
  • Cut and edge lenses, and fit lenses into frames to meet customer specifications.
  • Arrange for grinding or polishing of lenses, or grind and polish lenses in-house.
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an ophthalmic or optical laboratory setting.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
