Job Summary:

Loblaw Companies is seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Representative to join our team. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in protecting our stores and assets from theft and fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deter, detect, and apprehend individuals who attempt to steal or commit fraud within our retail locations.
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, compile evidence, and present findings in court or arbitration proceedings.
  • Identify and mitigate potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and colleagues, providing coaching and guidance on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Represent Loblaw Companies at community events and promote a positive image of the company.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Requirements:

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest.
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • High degree of initiative and integrity required to succeed in a dynamic environment.
