About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Biological Laboratory Technician to join our team at DMV Génétique Services inc. in a research institute, laboratory or centre setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process biological samples from patients, ensuring accurate and efficient handling and storage.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques.
  • Document observations and results, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Collaborate with staff in various areas of responsibility to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
  • Participate in quality control assessments of testing techniques, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Working Conditions
  • Standing for extended periods, with combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Repetitive tasks, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong initiative and judgment.
