Clinical Psychologist, FIOS Specialist

The IWK Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Family Intensive Outreach Services (FIOS) team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based mental health treatment to children, youth, and their families struggling with Disruptive Behaviour Disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide family and individual therapy to clients and their families
- Supervise staff and provide consultation to other professionals
- Develop and evaluate treatment plans
- Travel regularly within the Halifax Regional Municipality to provide services in clients' homes or other convenient locations
- Ph.D./Psy.D. degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program
- Completion of an APA or CPA-accredited Predoctoral Internship in Psychology
- Registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
- Minimum five years of formal training and clinical experience in child/adolescent mental health
- Demonstrated experience and skills in assessment and treatment of youth and families with mental health and/or addictions issues
- Proficiency in providing family and individual therapy
- Recent experience in providing clinical supervision to staff/team and consultation to other professionals
- Theoretical knowledge and practice competency in a family systems approach
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management, workload prioritization, and organizational skills
- Conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interprofessional care team
- Working knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care
- NCI Certification
- CPR Level C Health Care Provider certification
- Valid minimal Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable transportation
