Aquatics Director

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Aquatics Director to lead our aquatics team and contribute to the success of our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our pool, including leadership, staff management, and program development.

• Develop and implement aquatics programs that meet the needs of our members and community.
• Manage and supervise aquatics staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, YMCA regulations, and national standards.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets and maintain accountability for fiscal goals.
• Provide leadership and support to staff in the areas of program delivery, customer service, and team building.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in aquatics and recreation.

• Diploma or degree in Recreation Leadership, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in aquatics, including leadership and management roles.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of YMCA policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
