Cemetery Operations Manager

The City of Thunder Bay seeks a Cemetery Operations Manager to direct and oversee the daily operation of the city's cemetery. This is a full-time position reporting to the Supervisor Parks Operations South.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise staff to maintain the cemetery, including grounds maintenance, monument installation, and burial services.
- Participate in budget preparation and planning for the cemetery operation.
- Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and operated, and controls the purchasing of tools and supplies.
- Maintain records for all phases of the cemetery operation, including the computerized burial inventory.
- Investigate and respond to public complaints and requests for information.
Requirements:
- Secondary school graduation and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in cemetery operations.
- Knowledge of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act and its regulations.
- Ability to supervise and lead a team, and to communicate effectively with the public.
