Job Summary

We are seeking a Student Supervisor to join our team at the Eastern Townships School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring student safety and well-being in our schools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise students in the school and its buildings to ensure rules are observed and students are safe.
  • Make rounds, give warnings, observe, and report any abnormal situations to designated personnel.
  • Greet and direct students and visitors.
  • Explain regulations and provide guidance as needed.
  • Participate in carrying out and supervising student activities in conjunction with teachers and student services staff.
  • Ensure necessary materials and accessories are available for activities.
  • Maintain a safe environment, particularly in stopping fights and other acts of aggression.
  • Assist in conducting locker or student searches and notify police as needed.
  • Administer first aid and participate in preparing accident and theft reports.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Hold a secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have one year of pertinent experience in areas requiring self-discipline, general concepts in psychology, and human relations skills.
  • Hold a certificate in standard first aid and a refresher course updating skills acquired in the standard first aid course.
