Construction Labourer Position with Competitive Hourly Rate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a physically capable General Labourer to provide construction support and ensure timely project completion. The successful candidate will follow established work practices, set a positive example for new crew members and co-workers, and operate various equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by following health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Strive for continuous improvement through specific development plans.
  • Receive direction from the Lead Hand, Lead Water Technician, or Lead Carpenter, and more experienced co-workers.
  • Promote good housekeeping practices to minimize clutter and cross-contamination.
  • Learns and adheres to correct procedures, especially when environmental work is required.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding acceptable standards at customer sites.
  • Display excellent manners and attitude towards property owners, occupants, co-workers, and sub-contractors.
  • Be willing and able to participate in after-hours emergency work as needed.
  • Direct customer inquiries to senior company representatives.
  • Support colleagues and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous construction or cleaning experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools preferred.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • No restrictions on driver's license.

We estimate the hourly salary to be around $25-$35 CAD per hour, depending on experience.
