The Wood Restaurant and Lounge is seeking a skilled Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing menu development, inventory management, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency in all dishes served.
About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned chef with extensive experience in restaurant management, staff supervision, and menu planning. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and possess a strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety, inventory control, and cost management.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and high-quality dishes
- Develop and implement new menu ideas, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Maintain accurate inventory records, minimizing waste and optimizing supply chain efficiency
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork and efficient service delivery
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field
- At least 1 year of experience as an Executive Chef or equivalent role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety and inventory control
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments
- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
