Sociology Professor Position

Job Opportunity:
The Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream appointment in the Sociology of Health and Mental Health. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative and independent sociological research at the highest international level and to establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.
Responsibilities:
- Pursue innovative and independent sociological research at the highest international level
- Establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program
- Teach and mentor students in the Sociology department
Requirements:
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Sociology or in a cognate program with a marked emphasis on social science and health, by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing research areas.
