Job Title: Youth Care Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Worker to join our team at Ranch Ehrlo Society. As a Youth Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care, support, and guidance to children, youth, and adults with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to participants, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans to promote participation and socialization.
  • Collaborate with clinical professionals to share insights and inform treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings to contribute ideas and experiences.
  • Teach essential life skills, such as self-care, cooking, and budgeting.
  • Resolve conflicts using empathy and behavior management strategies.
  • Complete accurate documentation and reports.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care (CYC) or a related field is an asset.
  • At least one year of experience working with children, youth, and/or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health, or developmental challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
