About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Manager to join our team at Prince George Hotel Limited Partnership. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute special events, including weddings, conferences, and banquets
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure profitability and quality
  • Plan and execute menus, estimating food requirements and requisitioning supplies as needed
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses
  • Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and staff development
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
