About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to join our Canada Growth Fund Investment Management team as a Manager, Investments. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team created within PSP Investments to manage the $15 billion Canada Growth Fund.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the analysis of relevant sectors and industries to identify potential investment opportunities
  • Perform preliminary analysis of investment opportunities against the CGF mandate and its impact criteria
  • Execute and lead due diligence of investments in Canadian projects reducing greenhouse gas emissions and in Canadian cleantech company investments
  • Take ownership of diligence workstreams and be accountable for valuation and analytical work
  • Lead the preparation of investment recommendation papers for internal approval
  • Collaborate with senior members of the team and provide oversight and coaching to junior team members
  • Monitor investments and assist in the disposition of portfolio investments as required
Requirements
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in conventional energy, renewable energy, clean-tech investing, and/or investment banking/corporate finance/transaction services
  • Experience in impact investing is an asset but not required
  • Strong analytical skills and execution skills across business development, investment analysis, and due diligence
  • Intellectually curious and self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant education and good communication skills in English and French (or willingness to learn)
