Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Ed Sobkowich Greenhouses. As a Greenhouse Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our greenhouse crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greenhouse Maintenance
    • Clean and sanitize the greenhouse to prevent the spread of disease
    • Monitor and control temperature, humidity, and light levels
  • Crop Care
    • Water and fertilize plants as needed
    • Prune and train plants to promote healthy growth
    • Monitor for pests and diseases, and take action to prevent their spread
  • Soil and Potting Mix Preparation
    • Mix and prepare soil and potting mixes according to recipe
    • Fill pots and planters with prepared soil and potting mixes
  • Transplanting and Pruning
    • Transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings into larger pots or directly into the greenhouse
    • Prune trees, shrubs, and plants to maintain shape and promote healthy growth
  • Record Keeping
    • Keep accurate records of greenhouse conditions, crop health, and maintenance activities
