Salary Range

The salary range for this role is estimated to be between $48,600-$60,700 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Securities Operations Associate to join our team at Canadian Western Bank. As a member of our Securities team, you will work closely with our clients to ensure accurate and timely processing of equity and fixed income trades, mutual funds, pooled funds, GICs, corporate actions, and reconciliations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Processing Fundserv mutual fund settlements
  • Reviewing and reconciling daily transactions as assigned within the scope of securities operations
  • Providing oversight to CWT's security master, including security set ups, maintenance, and pricing
  • Communicating with the Client Services Team and external contacts responding to transaction requests and inquiries
  • Supporting team members in the overall operation of the team, coordinating the flow of work and communication and ensuring an equitable distribution of work
  • Maintaining and developing procedures documents related to assigned activities
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A basic understanding of brokerage or custody operations
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • High school graduation

Prior experience in the Canadian securities industry at a brokerage firm or custodian is an asset. Experience with Fundserv and completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) are also desirable.
