Adult Community Mental Health Specialist

Island Health is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to join its Intensive Case Management team. Based in South Island (Victoria), the patient population includes adult individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.
Services will be provided on-site in Island Health facilities and community centers, as well as through virtual care and phone consultations.
As an Island Health facility, there are opportunities for medical students and residents to participate in training, and applicants may also apply for a clinical appointment.
Research participation is strongly encouraged and facilitated by Island Health.
Location: Victoria, British Columbia's scenic capital, offers a high quality of life and breathtaking natural beauty.
Vancouver Island provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding, golf, and world-class fishing.
Salary Information: We offer a competitive salary estimated at $250,000-$300,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a commitment to community-based care, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
