Your Opportunity:

The Administrative Support VI role is a key position within the Post Graduate Medical Education Program at Alberta Health Services. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to residents in all PGY program levels. This includes coordinating planning, policies, and human resources support services for the program.

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to join our team. As an Administrative Support VI, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices, and initiatives within a department or program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to residents in all PGY program levels
  • Coordinate planning, policies, and human resources support services for the program
  • Build the visibility of clinical learners within the Department and ensure their needs are met
  • Guide administrative support for educational programs within the Department
  • Communicate effectively with individuals throughout Canada, USA, and other nations

Requirements:

  • Completion of post-secondary education (diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification)
  • At least one year of experience in a residency program
  • Three years of administrative experience in a teaching hospital or multidisciplinary medical or educational institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of the PARA Collective Agreement, Post Graduate Medical Education Policies, Guidelines, and Principles
  • Experience with University systems, including One45, WebeV, Peoplesoft, Eprocurement, CARMS Webstation, T-Res, eFin, and non-employee expense module
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Access database, calendar, and email
  • Medical Transcription/Keyboarding skills (type approximately 65 wpm)
