Clinical Operations Manager

About the RoleThis leadership position reports to the Patient Access and Flow Manager and is responsible for coordinating safe and efficient patient care services within Northern Zone facilities and Nova Scotia Health. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and continuing care providers to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services. This includes addressing capacity and patient flow issues, emergency response, bed management, supporting staff, and assisting with unanticipated operational issues after hours.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related health discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work)
- 3-5 years of experience in an acute care setting, with 1-2 years in supervisory/leadership roles
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, time management, and conflict resolution skills
- Collaborator with negotiation skills
- Experience working with software programs related to bed utilization and knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles
- Demonstrated proficiency in using the Patient Flow Dashboard (Tableau) and Meditech
We offer a competitive salary range of $40.15-$53.35 per hour, plus benefits including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
