Financial Bookkeeper with Strong Accounting Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Financial Bookkeeper to join our team at Chowdhury Insurance Ltd. in Canada.

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 37 to 44 hours of work per week.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Maintain financial records using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting software, including Simply Accounting, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Diploma or degree in accounting or related field
  • Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or accountant
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong accounting skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as dental plan, health care plan, vision care benefits, and a comprehensive benefits package.
