About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Farm Labourer to join our team at 861379 Ontario Limited. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to crop farming, including planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops, as well as fertilizing and spraying crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant, Cultivate, and Irrigate Crops: Plant seeds, cultivate crops, and irrigate them as needed to ensure optimal growth and yield.
  • Fertilize and Spray Crops: Apply fertilizers and pesticides to crops to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Harvest Crops: Harvest crops at the appropriate time to ensure maximum quality and yield.
  • Operate and Maintain Farm Machinery and Equipment: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and other equipment.
  • Perform General Farm Duties: Perform general farm duties, including cleaning and maintaining equipment, and assisting with other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure Farm Safety and Bio-Security Procedures: Ensure that all farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed to prevent accidents and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Site Environment: The work site environment is rural, with staff accommodation available.
  • Work Setting: The work setting is a rural area, with a focus on grain farming and wheat farming.
  • Personal Suitability: A team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
