Crafty Penguins is expanding its team. We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Specialist - Senior to collaborate with our growing team and serve our growing customer base.

This role requires the ability to creatively solve technical problems while developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Adaptability, willingness to learn, and a client-centric approach are essential for success in this position.

We are a Linux, Open Source, DevOps, and Kubernetes consulting company that utilizes a variety of tools to help clients in many industries with server support, infrastructure design, cloud management, data backups, network security, disaster recovery, and more. Our daily habits include building trust, looking at the bigger picture, leaning into challenges, and being better today than yesterday.

Crafty Penguins operates remotely. This allows us to work with talented individuals from across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients and handle their requests
  • Manage client system alerts and perform regular health checks
  • Patch and maintain client systems according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Perform deployments using our SOP's
  • Onboard new clients and create roadmaps for improving their infrastructure
  • Track time worked on all hours logged
  • Sometimes, work outside regular hours will be required

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience and skills.
