About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Strategist to join our team at Messer Canada Inc. in a permanent role. As an integral member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that drive business growth and improve employee engagement.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree and 2 years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong background in employment equity, human resources, and training and professional development. They will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will work independently and as part of a team to assign projects to subordinates and staff, coordinate HR activities, evaluate daily operations, and plan and control budget and expenditures. You will also develop and implement human resources policies and programs, review HR projects for compliance with laws and regulations, train staff, and advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to drive business growth and improve employee engagement
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff, coordinate HR activities, and evaluate daily operations
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures, develop and implement human resources policies and programs
  • Review HR projects for compliance with laws and regulations, train staff, and advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants, propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong background in employment equity, human resources, and training and professional development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
