We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Associate to join our team at the Retail Centre in Langley, BC.

About the Role:

As a Grocery Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the organization and direction of department activities and operations.
  • Providing excellent customer service by asking guests' needs and helping them make purchases.
  • Escorting customers to their appropriate aisle or shelf to assist with purchasing decisions.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
  • Stocking and replacing products to avoid damages.
  • Preparing store displays and ensuring products are accurately labelled.
  • Ordering out-of-stock products.
  • Processing customer orders and payments.
  • Discarding expired items and placing near-expiry items on special promotions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a grocery clerk or retail experience is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, people, and customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills and computer skills.
  • Motivation and ability to work in a busy work environment.
  • Commitment to a safe working environment.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Open availability to work a variety of shifts, 7 days a week, including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
  • Reliable transportation, as buses are not available for all shift times.
