About the Opportunity

Manulife is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Insurance Business Development Professional to join our team. As an Internal Wholesaler, you will be responsible for evolving existing advisor relationships and encouraging new ones, always with the goal of promoting client-centric solutions that increase individual life & living benefit insurance sales at Manulife.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in insurance or sales, with strong communication skills, a proven track record of success, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. You will be fluent in both English and French, and possess a college or university degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office, including intermediate-level Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Utilize your exceptional communication skills to proactively interact with advisors daily, supporting key advisors and partnering with them to uncover sales opportunities.
  2. Effectively handle and coordinate your daily tasks to achieve efficiency metrics, best supporting advisors and the region.
  3. Handle incoming advisor inquiries, providing case consultations, illustration support, product queries, and training as needed.
  4. Investigate proactive sales opportunities using peers, external wholesalers, tools, resources, data, and analytics, formalizing and driving business planning (60-day cycles).
  5. Maintain advisor profiles and data on current and proposed activity using Salesforce.com.
  6. Collaborate with peers from other teams, departments, and territories to share business leads and ideas.
