LTL POWER SERVICES LTD is seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing underground wiring and cables, designing and constructing single-phase service for single or multimeter installations, splicing, joining and connecting wires, testing and measuring voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits, determining appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations, troubleshooting and isolating faults, installing surface mount and/or overhead cables, installing power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems, supervising other workers, grounding and bonding electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs, renovating electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, conducting preventive maintenance programs, and reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Install electrical systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations.
  • Splice, join and connect wires to ensure safe and efficient electrical connections.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations to minimize risks.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to prevent electrical shocks and fires.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to ensure reliable electrical connections.
  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems to provide backup power and stabilize electrical systems.
  • Supervise other workers to ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs to ensure electrical safety.
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures to upgrade and modernize electrical infrastructure.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure electrical systems are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to understand electrical system designs and plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
