Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Laugh and Learn Children Centre Branch. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Engage children in activities, such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts, to stimulate their creativity and curiosity.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a smooth and efficient daily routine.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, providing valuable insights into their development and progress.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
