Salary: The estimated monthly base salary is $12,000, with an additional 25% of the monthly base salary as a bonus, totaling $15,000 per month. Job Description:

We are seeking a Geoscientist to manage the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans to support the de-risking of unconventional fields from exploration to development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geological technical assessments of resource plays to ensure productivity and identify gaps in knowledge.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the best plays are being de-risked and targets are being met.
  • Work closely with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.
  • Effectively communicate through presentations and written reports to technical peers and management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics or related sciences.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins.
  • Solid background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk, and resource assessment within unconventional.
  • Experience integrating basic reservoir engineering and geology to tight and source rock reservoirs.
  • Experience working with production and drilling departments on well performance and optimization, as well as with reservoir engineering teams on economics of unconventional field development plans.

Benefits:

  • Monthly Base Salary – $12,000
  • Monthly Bonus – 25% of monthly base salary ($3,000)
  • Benefits Supplement – 20% of monthly base salary after 3 years of service ($2,400), increasing to 30% after 6 years ($3,600) and 35% after 12 years ($4,200)
  • Severance Package (2-year vest period) – 2 weeks' pay for each year of service, increasing to 4 weeks' pay for each year after 6 years
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) (eligible after 12 months of service) – maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay with a cap, 20% share discount
  • Incentive Plan – annual, based on performance, approx. $8,200 per household member 11+ years old residing in Saudi Arabia and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old
  • Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays
  • Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care/facilities for employees and eligible family members, In-Kingdom dental services subsidized
  • Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48,000), undergraduate college-age children get 2 round-trip economy air travel tickets, single/bachelor status – 60% of monthly base salary
