Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to manage equipment installation, building modification, or improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical project management, with experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage technical projects, including building renovations, new equipment purchases, and installations.
  2. Lead the change control process and qualification of projects, ensuring compliance with cGMPs.
  3. Establish and maintain contacts with customers to define project requirements.
  4. Present technical information and concepts to stakeholders.
  5. Design and manage project plans, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
  6. Manage scope changes and scope creep.
  7. Conduct feasibility studies and lead the purchasing process for projects.
  8. Produce quantity surveys and prepare budget estimates and reports.
  9. Request and review tender documents, specifications, and other technical documents.
  10. Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, and commissioning of installations.
  11. Take charge of major technical problems in the plant and act as a resource person to help solve problems.
  12. Contribute ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
Requirements
  1. University degree in engineering.
  2. Minimum of two years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  3. Good knowledge of automated systems and mechanical systems.
  4. Knowledge of packaging and/or pharmaceutical equipment is an asset.
  5. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts is an asset.
  6. Excellent organization and time management skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  9. Bilingualism required: English and French.
  10. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
