Salary and Benefits

Job Description

This part-time MHSU Clinician opportunity at our Delta location offers a unique chance to work with geriatric patients and make a meaningful difference in their lives. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, treatment, consultation, and follow-up services to mentally ill elderly clients of special complexity and difficulty, and their caregivers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical services to elderly clients and their caregivers, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and conferences to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or another relevant health-related discipline.
  • At least one year of recent experience working with geriatric psychiatry clients in a recognized psychiatric and/or community mental health setting.
  • Registration with the relevant professional association (e.g., BC College of Social Workers).
  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle.
