Job Description

This role involves driving excellence and continuous improvement across Global Payment Operations. As a Senior Business Improvement Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement process documentation, best practices, and process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to create and implement process documentation, best practices, and process improvements.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, presenting actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Design and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track the effectiveness of implemented strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive presentations that clearly communicate findings, insights, and recommendations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on best practices, providing guidance and support to junior analysts and other team members.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure Scotiabank remains competitive and compliant.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in banking, financial services, or management consulting, with a proven track record of success in driving excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • In-depth knowledge of the banking industry, including products, services, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
