About the Role

The Bilingual Human Resources Manager will be based in Mississauga and report to the Vice President of Human Resources. The incumbent's goal is to provide internal consulting and support for all Human Resources initiatives and objectives for designated divisions. This includes talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, administration of compensation and benefits, performance management, learning, and supporting talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations regarding discrimination and unfair employment practices.
  • Manage employment-related legal files from initial stages to resolution in collaboration with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Develop and conduct training for managers and employees on various subject matters and soft skills identified as business needs.
  • Implement HR initiatives, policies, and procedures; provide guidance to employees to ensure alignment of HR policies and procedures across all locations.
  • Administer collective bargaining agreement clauses and general union issues and concerns. Responsible for negotiating the collective agreement within company guidelines for the unionized branch.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure both business and employee needs are met while driving standardized processes into the facility.
  • Proactively manage employee issues, including leaves, attendance, ethics points, and all other employee-related issues requiring HR involvement. Ensure performance issues are appropriately documented and monitored for designated regions.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as an HR generalist or manager, serving an internal client group with a wide variety of HR matters.
  • Able to speak, read, and write in both French and English.
  • Experience working with coworkers or clients in French and English.
  • Experience working with all modules of SAP SuccessFactors would be an asset.
  • Experience in a role requiring an understanding of P&L would be an asset.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing or distribution industry.
  • CHRL complete or in progress.
  • University degree or college diploma.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel to Eastern Canada.
