Job Title: Locates Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Locates Coordinator to join our team at Tomlinson Group of Companies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing underground utility locates, ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order and manage underground utility locates, including public and private utilities.
  • Manage locate tickets and update information provided by utility companies.
  • Navigate the Ontario One website to request underground locates using the mapping system.
  • Create and maintain accurate locate packages.
  • Remark locates prior to expiry and archive them when jobs are complete.
  • Coordinate with various utility companies to receive sketches.
  • Manage email inboxes and request clearances from Enbridge and Hydro Ottawa.
  • Coordinate with private locators internally and externally.
  • Work with project coordinators, project managers, and foremen to coordinate locate documentation.
  • Aid in schedule administration and booking of accommodations for out-of-town crews.
Requirements:
  • Construction Engineering Technician or similar degree, or 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritize tasks.
