Job Summary

Multiplex is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Co-ordinator to connect our site teams with trusted suppliers, providing needed materials, equipment, services, and products for project delivery.

This role involves working with site teams to plan and understand project needs, ensuring orders arrive on-site in a Just-in-Time basis. Strong communication with site teams and supplier partners is crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive requisitions from multiple sites and create purchase orders, placing them with the appropriate supplier.
  • Assist Buyers with product or supplier inquiries.
  • Perform a 3-point match with Requisition, Purchase Order, and Packing Slip, coordinating with the A/P team to process invoices.
  • Assist with rental tracker input for tools and equipment rented on-site.
  • Contribute to inventory tracking at head office and sites.
  • Research budgetary pricing from vendors based on Procurement Manager information.
  • Document and escalate supplier performance issues to the Procurement Manager.
  • Enter unit rate data for various Division 1 items under various cost codes.
  • Support order processing.

Requirements

  • Equivalent post-secondary degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, or Construction Management.
  • 2 years direct work experience in purchasing or procurement, focusing on construction consumables and rentals.
  • On-site construction management experience is highly preferred.
