We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Officer Major Gifts to join our team at AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for championing private sector and community support to benefit our mission.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your fundraising expertise to build strong relationships with donors and secure major gifts. You will manage an assigned portfolio of philanthropic donations, corporate engagement, and partnership opportunities, working collaboratively with our Vice President, Development, to achieve strategic and impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth individuals and organizations to secure significant donations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
  • Work closely with hospital teams, including physicians and medical professionals, to establish productive relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fundraising, applying this knowledge to enhance our development efforts.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary education in business, event management, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relations, with a proven track record of building and maintaining positive donor and community relationships.
  • Strong computer skills in utilizing Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge/NXT fundraising software an asset.
  • Able to work independently, exercising initiative, innovation, and resourcefulness to achieve results.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. If you are passionate about fundraising and committed to making a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.
