Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at Hassan Ellaw, Inas Hamid. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the well-being and dignity of our clients.
  • Assist with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical health and mobility.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to our clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and overall well-being.
Requirements:
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition and provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent position.
  • 30 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
