Job Description:

We are seeking a Yard Inspector to ensure the quality of incoming feedstock for our shredder. The successful candidate will create a daily receiving plan, coordinate with supervisors and hourly inspectors, and manage inventory. They will also verify and record the receipt and inspection of scrap metal, develop new methods of tracking materials, and organize the shipping of processed material.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the quality of incoming feedstock for the shredder
• Create a daily receiving plan and coordinate with supervisors and hourly inspectors
• Manage inventory, classify, organize, and verify the receipt and inspection of scrap metal
• Develop new methods of tracking materials through the shredder process
• Organize and manage the shipping of processed material

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for 80% of the day
• Ability to work am to pm shift Monday to Friday
• Requires ability to work outside for 20% of the day
• 1+ years of experience in a customer service-oriented position preferred
• Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
