Job Title: Recreation Therapist


The salary range for this position is CAD $39.10/Hr. - CAD $49.34/Hr., based on location and experience.



Job Description


We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Sechelt, BC. As a Recreation Therapist, you will work with clients and residents to provide therapeutic recreation and leisure interventions, promoting physical and emotional well-being.


You will be part of an integrated healthcare team, assessing client needs and developing personalized care plans. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Leisure Studies from an accredited university;
  • Eligibility for certification and CTRS credential with National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC);
  • At least one year of recent experience working with children and youth with mental health and/or addiction issues in a healthcare setting;
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency First Aid certifications;
  • Valid Class IV Driver's License;
