Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Apartment Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Skyline Living. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our residential complexes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability
