Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Elementary French Specialist to join our team at the Halton District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Core French to students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Job Description

This is a long-term occasional (LTO) position that will require the successful candidate to work at two schools: Alexander's PS and C. H. Norton PS. The position involves teaching Core French to students in grades 4-6, with a focus on developing language skills and cultural awareness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education degree with a specialization in French as a Second Language (FSL)
  • Teaching experience in a elementary school setting
  • Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and assessment practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The salary will be determined in accordance with the Ontario College of Teachers' salary scale.
